Each comic sketch summarizes the learning objective by displaying the featured vocabulary word or character on a piece of paper emerging from a fortune cookie. Graphics are also employed throughout each episode to reinforce ideas, words, and concepts as needed

Viewers are introduced to everyday situations and learn how to survive and enjoy their experience in China, acquire basic Mandarin language skills and Chinese character recognition.
